Organizational History

The Juvenile Transition Center, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit Florida Corporation headquartered in the City of Boynton Beach. This community-based agency was established in 1997 in an effort to increase academic achievement of educationally at-risk students, reduce economic deprivation, and eradicate childhood hunger among Palm Beach County youth.

Despite our name, the Juvenile Transition Center, we are not an agency that serves troubled youth. Our mission is to assist interested students as they navigate through the process of becoming eligible for College admissions.

The Juvenile Transition Center endeavors to equip program youth with the proper strategies necessary to make sound judgment and prudent decisions. Consequently, through a collaboration with the FDOE and the City of Boynton Beach, the Juvenile Transition Center is a highly recognized 21st Century Community Learning Center that provides a comprehensive program to secondary youth, which include:
  • STEM activities

  • Health & Fitness
  • Photography
  • Music (Violin)
  • Dance (Contemporary)
  • Cultural Field Trips

  • and community involvement.
All of which, are essential features designed to generate behaviors characterized by productive contributing members of society.
